Riven of the Ghostblade thought she’d known all she’d need to as she neared her two-decate mark within The Glades. She’d lived her entire life in the arena of scorching sands and stale blood, amidst a bloodsport meant to cleave and cut away the weak.
Riven had excelled many a years, cutting down those that stood to oppose her, no matter the cost or the wounds she’d accumulated along the way. Sword, blade, or no weapon at all, she persevered regardless of the obstacles standing in her way.
Weather it happened to be the whispers of the shadows or own unyielding stubbornness that drove her forward, she never questioned it.
But when everything crumbles like fallen ash, and with it the one person she truly cherished above all else, Riven is forced to face a truth harsher than the sands of the arena; she knows nothing of the world beyond its walls.
Ignorant of the world’s dangers, untested in its vastness, Riven must step into a realm far more terrifying than mere blood and steel.
And this time, brute strength along may not be enough.
